Waffle Factory @ Singapore Post Center Shopping Center

I have been thinking of the waffles from the Waffle Factory since the man started going to the SingPost center very often. Hehs. I tried the waffles sometime back and I remembered it as a very nice waffle!

So, he bought it for me and I finally satisfied my craving for it. But it was a little disappointing because I did not eat it fresh from the shop. I'm sure it had been softer 50 mins before I tried it. Haha. I will go back and eat it there and review on it again. Haha.

But the hit of the shop should be the number of flavors it offers. I was thinking that it looks like all the donut shops around. A simple donut with more than a dozen different flavors to choose from. The same goes for the waffles! The flavor I had was the Kit Kat. Like, WOAH! Kit Kat eh!?! The cream and the Kit Kat went really well together! SLURPS!

Final verdict. Chocolates and waffles never go wrong together. And Kit Kat too! I love it! But I have to say, the waffles is not as soft and yummy as the one from wild honey. But heys, please look at the price difference man! This is seriously not bad already!!!! But I really have no idea if the hardness of the waffle came from the cold or is the waffle hard by nature. Hmm..

Wild Honey @ Mandarin Gallery

I have been craving for American breakfast since long long time ago. I want big big sausage, yummy scrambled egg, potatoes, good bread. Not too difficult to ask for I would say. But it gets a little difficult if you are never up/ at the restaurant when they are still serving breakfast.

So, Wild Honey to the rescue! Woohoo! It serves full day breakfast. So even if I want to eat it after work, it's perfectly ok!! And yeap, that was what I did! Hehs.

Beware of the queue man. Because it is opened till 1030, I suggest that you can reach around 9. So that you don't have to wait for more than 1 hour for it. This long wait is the only complain I can think of.

Ok, that was nothing to do with the review, but I like them! The sugar cubes look so nice. Haha. And okay, I was actually a little bored waiting for my food. Haha.

Tadang. Dish number one. Cookie. This cookie actually cost $4 each. I have no idea why, but we paid for it glady. Hehs.

So, it has chocolate coating on half the cookie. The other side of the cookie also have half coated with chocolates. Hehs. I guess this would make sure that we are not overloaded with chocolates. Because this is the first thing we have after such a long wait, I approach it with weary. Haha. It turned out to be really good! Woohoo!

Softness was good. It can be broken with the spoon and scooped to the mouth. And it's not like the soggy softness you know? Haha. It was good. Yum yum!

And then we realized that hey! There's maple syrup between the 2 cookies! And we don't find the whole thing very sweet. Hehs. Nice. First step to heaven.

Apparently this Queen B is one of the most popular mocktail at Wild Honey. We ordered it and it tasted really different. Haha. It has grapefruit and something. First mouth was "Eh? Hmm." After that, it became "Hmm. Nice! Hahaha."

And now, the most anticipated moment.

First, my craving was satisfied with the English breakfast. Everything that I had asked for. Or even more than I had. Because it had nice sauteered mushrooms and yummy baked beans. Haha. My goodness. This is huge! We are in heaven. Hahahahaha.

I was hooked by the potatoes. Nicely baked and the sprinkle of salt on it made it tasted really good. You can taste the salt but you won't complain about it because it was that which made it yums.

The sausage was heavenly. Seriously. Crunchy on the outside because of the grilled skin. Tight and woooo on the inside. It was thick as I wanted it. But too bad. It was a little small. Especially when 4 people are sharing it. Hahaha! But I think we can order a side order for the sausage. Good. I will do it. Haha!

The mushrooms were a surprise. Nicely flavored and grilled. Wooo!

Scrambled egg. Not very special but it was important in this entire English breakfast. My god.

I did not managed to take a photo of the baked beans. It was so special! A little spicy and it was really big! Nothing like the normal baked beans they use from cans! Woohoo! YUMMMMMMS! I love the English breakfast! And the bread that came along was really good. I always love steamed bread more than toasted bread. But this combination was too good to be true. Lightly toasted on the outside but the softness of the bread inside was not sacrificed. This is crazy. Oh, the bacon too! It's oh my god. A little too salty for my liking but if I eat it with other things then, it's heavenly! Best bacon I have ever tasted. I want to bring the chef home. Haha.

Please note that we are already in heaven. So, the remaining dishes kept us in heaven for a long long time. Haha.

Next up, the Tunisian breakfast. Oh god. How can all the spices fuse together like this? It has 2 fried eggs, some sausages (goood!!). Don't underestimate it. My goodness. Take the nicely toasted bread and dip into the sauce. You will scream "I'm in heaven!". Hahaha. Ok, I think most of the people are not exactly as dramatic as me, but you get the gist here.

Taken from their menu: Canadian - A stack of classic pancakes served with wild berry and hibiscus compote, Canadian maple syrup and bacon.

Understatement I would say. It should read: Canadian - A stack of classic super fluffy and soft pancakes served with crazily nice and tastefully done wild berry and hibiscus compote, terribly nice Canadian maple syrup and out of the world delicious bacon. This was the best bacon that I had tasted in my life. I'm serious. Because of this, 3 of us had a new respect for pigs. Haha. I like this bacon more than the English breakfast because it's not that salty. When we eat it with the pancakes and pour maple syrup over it and then top it up with a little berries, you will scream "I'M IN HEAVEN!". Haha. Max prefers the English breakfast bacon because it's more fatty. Haha.
Last one, Belgian breakfast. The waffles were crazily fluffy and soft. The coconut cream was just nice. Not too thick or what as YX had feared. Mangoes were terribly sweet. Blueberries were like berries lo. Toasted coconut flakes went really well with the waffles. My goodness. If you know me and YX well enough, you will know how much we love and worship flour products. Hahaha. This got us crazy as well.

All of us were in heaven. The entire meal put too much food to shame. And it gave a new meaning to pigs. Thank you for your sacrifice. And please, do not destroy all the wheat on Earth for we will definitely cry and die. Haha.

*Smiling so happily before we attacked the food because we were already very amazed with the whole presentation of the food. Spend quite a fair bit of money on breakfast ($30 each) but we paid happily. It was definitely all worth it. Service there was good as well. Staff were helpful. Lighting was a little too dark for a breakfast place (and thus lousy food photos). But good for after work. Haha. Not a lot of photos taken because I HAVE TO ATTACK THE FOOD! Haha.

Will definitely pull more people there again. It's highly highly highly recommended! Please go!!

Note: No reservation. You have to wait terribly long! Haha. Try to go real early or real late. Hehs.

3-inch sin

This place is like a heaven. Haha. Great desserts!! LOVE IT LOADS!

Menu

I love the rustic feeling the whole cluny court gave. Hehs.

Okay, are you ready? Lets's start. Haha.

First, the dark side. It's made of dark chocolate I think. It's like a layer of chocolate with the tart crust. Urm, did my description made it too simple? Haha. I think I did. But I would say the chocolates were nicely made. And the thickness was just great! This was YQ's favourite because he likes dark chocolates.

This cake has a very cute name! Lost in the black forest. HAHAHA! I erm, translated it to 失踪在黑森林。Hahaha! Talk about direct translation huh? HAHAHAH! It was nice because it was on special sale. Most of the time they would only sell it as a whole cake. But the day we went, they offered it as slices. Woohoo! Life is good huh?

My goodness. This blackforest cake totally took my breath away. It was really very nice! See the thick cream? It was really very nice! Not overloading because it was just great. The cake was soft, the chocolates was good and the berries were yummy. OH MY GOD! I wanted to take the whole cake for myself. Haha. I was already planning to get it as a birthday cake somehow or another sia! Hehs. And by the way, this is really my favorite. Weng's too! Because we love to eat cakes. So, cakey feel is more for us! =D

And this is a must must must try in 3-inch sin. Hehs. The molten cake. They had a chat with the boss/in-charge or I have no idea who. The original, hazelnut and the bitter orange is the most popular. The top 3 of the menu. Hehs. Well, that was for a reason man! It was heavenly!

They look the same from the outside. Hehs.

Bitter orange.

Larva flowing out.
It was crazy. The chocolates in your mouth. Woo! Haha. But I would still want to get lost in the dark forest because I am not a super big fan of chocolate larva cake. Hehs. Too chocolatey for my liking. But I never say I would reject them. This has to be said if you ask me which one to choose. Hahaha! YX and SH prefer this. Haha. They like the warm feel in the mouth.

And of the 3 of the molten cake, we have differing views again. LOL! Weng and I voted for the bitter orange because I felt that the orange added a brand new taste on top of the chocolates. Just chocolates was a little plain. SH and YX and I think Kelvin voted for the hazelnut. Well, it's nice too because there a crunchy taste to it. YQ preferred the original. Haha. Differing taste from different people. And that's the reason why I prefer to eat in groups. We get to try a lot of things and I can get views from different people at the same time. Isn't that wonderful? Haha.

Max Brenner @ Esplanade

They boast to have the best chocolate waffles in Singapore. Hmm. Well, I beg to differ.

Yes, I agree that the waffles are pretty nice. Soft and bouncy. But I am someone that can twinkle and feel like I am in heaven when I eat something really nice. This did not give me the effect! I'm not too sure if it's because I have ulcers in my mouth though. But even so, this is too expensive to be a waffle le ba? I can accept it to be around 10 bucks. But, not $16 right? Hmmm.

Another over priced scoffle. Hmm. I dun really enjoy the ultra thick chocolate. But there are some who loves it. Have to admit, the chocolates that came out was not too sweet. Just nice. I would say, if the chocolate could be a little thinner, then that will be great.

I like their water refill. =) The bottle is nice!!

Not too sure if I would go back there again. Maybe when I'm feeling really rich, or I have a super craving for extreme chocolate taste. Hahaha.
