I seriously hope I got the name of the place right. I translated directly from the Kanji on the menu (please pardon my poor memory of remembering places and names!). Haha. But then, as the English words on the menu say, this place sells hand made udon! Almost ALL their dishes revolve around udon. Nice!
This place doesn't sell green tea. But this is still really nice!!
Okay, to the Udon. So, there's actually a few ways they cook the udon. So, you can choose the way you want your udon cooked and also the dish that comes along with it (of course you can opt out of that dish).
So, because of what my neighbor was eating, I decided to go ahead with the curry udon!! Super duper big bowl, considering the fact that the udon did not fill up the bowl! Ha!
The curry udon contains beef. THANK GOD I can eat beef out of home! Haha. Anyway, this curry is seriously a pretty special one. Sweeter than all the Japanese curry that I had tried. But it was really good. Fragrant.
The udon was nice. Q~ It went really nice with the curry!
Haha! I have to take a glutton photo with my curry udon! LOL!
This is what I would have preferred more. Soupy and mild. Apparently, my man does not feel the same way and he does not believe me and so he did not exchange his with me. ARGH. And in the end, he did not really enjoy the meal. Ha! Too bland for his liking even though I thought the soup was pretty good. Ha!
Okay, so besides udon, we also ordered this curry chicken. I ordered it because it looked like Tori Karrage and I have a craving for some. And when I looked at the menu's photo, I would expect it to be tori karrage with curry powder on the surface. Erm, NO CURRY TASTE AT ALL! BOOO!
Pretty oily.
I prefer thigh meat over breast meat. Hehs. NO CURRY FLAVOR ANYWHERE! Oh crap.
Not exactly a happy man. Ha!
Alright, because of a meatlover, he chose the pork cutlet as the dish to go along for my curry udon.
Yes, the outer layer was pretty cripsy. But, I tasted a too-strong-for-my-liking's butter taste. Too oily. Meat not exactly there yet. *Tampopo have better pork cutlets*
The soft shell crab was nice though. Nicely fried. And the crabs had quite a big of meat! Woohoo! I love that! Haha.
Well, I went in because it looks kind of nice! I would say, I may return again for the udon but I would not make a special trip down.
