Tajimaya Yakuniku @ Vivocity

We had this 2 years ago for our anniversary. And we thought we should have this again because we agreed that we can only have this on special occasions. Lol.

This is the sauce that made the meat perfect. Seriously. Haha. We have the habit of dipping all 3 of them at the same time because we can merge the sweet, sour and hot (just very slight) together. Woo. I wanna drool.

So it's charcoal grill. Haha. Yeap. And it's the charcoal that made the difference too isn't it? Well, if we were to compare it with those electric stove. Nononono. The charcoals will give a boost too. Not low grade charcoals of course!!!

The green tea cost $2. Woah. EXPENSIVE HUH?! Haha. But well, at least it was free flow. So, okay.... Haha. I have to say, everything here is expensive man! Ha!

We ordered the Wagyu beef set for 2 ($128++). So, first come the soup. I have no idea what is this because I didn't really read the menu. But this slightly spicy soup was good. A little like kimchi soup? The problem was, they didn't offer me the spoon. Haha. I'm too used to drinking soup with a spoon and not directly from the bowl! LOL!

I am not a very devoted meat lover and I love vegetables and fruits. So, my man did not even want to fight with me with these assortment of vegetables. Haha, talk about complementing each other huh? But heys, I really love it. Especially the grilled pumpkin. It tasted like chips at the end! Haha. The corn was sweet and fresh.

Salad! I like the salad sauce! But urm, I have to ask for extra sauce though. =D

Ok, here comes the meat. They all taste really tender and the marination was simply great. Top it up with the sauce (above), oh my god. Woooo. Haha. And well, my man is a very devoted meat lover. So, this meal left him really very happy and contented. So, what more do we ask for? Good food, good company, happy people. =D

Pork

Variety of different parts of Wagyu beef.

Perfectly cooked.
So, we can also wrap the meat in the vegetables. I think I must have watched too much Korean dramas because I really love to wrap the meat for my man and stuff it into his mouth. LOL! And oh, spread some sauce on it too! Well, the fusion of meat and vegetables is pretty good I think. It will make both of them taste better than it is. But for the ultimate devotee (not my man actually), they would not like the dilution of the meat by the vegetables?

Here comes my favorite. The cod fish. This is really crazy. I cannot understand how can the fish be so so so fresh! I had to order this again because I had really fond memories of it the last time we had it. Hehs. Fresh, sweet, tender. GOD! I really cannot die young for I cannot eat this anymore! Haha. The sauce that was on the fish made it even more perfect that it is. Fresh ingredients is really the key to everything. I believe the fish was of a pretty good grade too (FYI, it's $17.90 for that plate).

Once again, I had almost the whole plate because I was the big fan of fishes, not my man. Haha. I gladly accepted it. Hohohohoho!

The rice. Hom. It was not the rice that I was hoping to get. Haha. I cannot say that it's not nice, but I was hoping for THE RICE that we tried the last time. I had to order an extra bowl the other time you know?! So, I kept thinking that the rice was real plain even though rice is supposed to taste this way. But this is way better than plain rice.

To avoid further dissapointment, my man decided that I should look for THE RICE! And, I FOUND IT! It's actually the garlic right! Aish. Something that did not come with the set. I should have asked properly man! Hehs. But nonetheless, I still had the taste of my favourite garlic rice!

The nice aroma of the garlic rice was crazy. But it was a little oily for my liking. I think it was because I had a little too much meat and food the entire day. Haha. And the day before. It came after we cleared almost all our food on the table you know?! Haha.

I am missing it already. My dear garlic rice that cost $3. LOL!

Dessert was green tea mochi with ice cream inside. The first taste was yucky. Because the flakes on the outside was really bitter and I really don't like it. But then, as you chew on, the sweet mochi and ice cream will come out. But seriously, the first taste was bad!

We would definitely go back again! It's one of our favorite place you know? But it's a little expensive so maybe just once a year. LOL! Erm, we spend like, erm, $180 for this meal. Ya, only the 2 of us. LOL! Crazy? You pay for the good food.

Something that I don't like is that grilling takes time. So, I cannot keep myself on heaven all the time. LOL! But well, once I bite the meat, I'll be send back to heaven again. Hehs. And something that I hate is definitely the service. I believe it's because of the crowd. But, they are really really not attentive!!! Grrrr!!! ROOOAARR! But of course, we were too immersed in our food to be really affected by this! =D
